Note large, wood surround glass sliding door has been fully opened to allow seamless access between dining and patio areas. The patio is covered by the automatic 'Vergola' roofing system which opens by remote control and shuts automatically if rain is detected.

The large timber grille at roof level is the opening to a Cardiff Air Fan (1.2M diameter slow revving, quiet, low energy fan) that exhausts internal air to outside above roof. This exhaust system keeps house fresh, healthy and cool in summer on hot, still days and can complete an internal air exchange in less than a minute).

All Bench tops are solid Sydney Blue Gum. Note high level clerestory windows which dramatically assist cross flow ventilation during summer and permit sunshine entry in winter to warm rammed earth wall.
